Urgent Requirement For Overhaul Of MaK Injectors Met
A prominent operator in the offshore and marine sectors, contacted the Royston Australia team needing 11 MaK injectors overhauled urgently.
Knowing they lacked the tooling on board the affected vessel to do the job, and that the injectors were in a relatively bad condition and likely needed machining, they were sent to us for a full strip and inspection. We sourced parts out of Germany, rebuilt them, tested them and sent them back to the vessel.
“Royston has a good relationship and service history with this client and, having rebuilt a lot of their MaK engines over the years – even me personally – in Singapore and Australia, we have a lot of knowledge on those specific engines.” Commented Jack Clark, Royston Australia Operations Manager.
Royston Australia now has another 11 injectors heading its way to overhaul and there are more to come from another of the client’s vessels.
