Maintenance and Repair of a Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan Dispersant Spray System

Our team were contacted to carry out maintenance and repairs on a Shipboard Oil Pollution Emergency Plan Dispersant Spray System (SOPEP DSS). A 1,000-hour service on the Yanmar L Series single piston engine was conducted including a strip down and replacement of bearings, piston rings and associated seals and gaskets. All mounts were removed, sand blasted and repainted using a protective paint prior to load testing the engine.
